A tribute to my mom!

I just returned from visiting my mom. She was down for a nap when I got there, so I sat beside her, watching her sleep. She looks so peaceful when she is asleep. Her favorite CD of classical music was playing, she had her favorite blanket to keep her warm..and me by her side to sit and keep her company. While I was sitting with her, one of her favorite pieces of music came on. She woke up almost instantly. She just laid there looking at me. I said " Hi mom" and without skipping a beat she responded with " Hi Sweeie Pie" only a name my mom can call me. She recognized for that brief moment. She knew who I was...then the moment was gone. She kept looking at me, trying to figure out who I was. I stayed with her until she fell asleep again. Telling her of what has been going on and telling her about this photo (the one above) that I keep close to me. Its the mom I remember..my strong, brave, AMAZING mom. I miss my conversations with her, I miss my lunch dates with her...I miss all the things that we used to do that I used to take advantage of...never really thinking ..there could be a day when I dont get this any longer. I aspire in so many ways to be like my mom. Strong, independent, caring, brave....she was and still is and will always be my best friend!

The Arizona Youngs....invade the Young B&B!!!

This past weekend my husbands brother P and his family came out for a short visit! They were our FIRST overnight guests in our new home!!! We had a lot of fun with them.....
We went to the Orange circle...and had some great times! Including times with this crazy blue monkey that was having his own adventure....Monkey going camping at the Army-Navy store
Monkey trying on dresses....
Monkey chilling at Starbucks
Just hanging out..
What time is the new Curious George movie???
R and J..having fun
I like this.....I think ALL churches should practice this!
The doughnut..the story behind this doughnut is that my nephew wanted one for breakfast and waited while the rest of us ate at " The Filling Station"..he then got his doughnut and dropped it on the ground...silly guy!
He got a skull pin...COOL
Does this hat make me look silly?

So adorable...J that is!
What to do?
H...

time flies

So it has been a long time since a post...seriously..I have been super busy with shoots and family stuff! Speaking of family..check out the next post..its about Paul, Cassy, Jessica and Hunter..and our adventures!

No real updates on mom....things are still about the same. I am still confused and hurt by the way that I feel that God is answering my prayers...but I know all in his time. So for the time being I keep asking myself..how can I better serve my mom and how can better serve my dad through this....? So as I work on those answers and drawing closer to God through this I will let you all know if I have any eye opening moments!!!
