Bozley

Bozley is getting cuter and cuter by the day and needed one more post!

V. Sattui

This winery needed its own post...thats how good it is!
I am not a person of great wine knowledge...I dont know when it is woody or you can taste cinnamon....I just know a good wine when I taste it. If I could have spent the day at this winery it would have been worth it! They have the BEST Reisling I have ever tasted......I am salivating just thinking about it!

Why limit happy to an hour

A few weeks back Ryan and I got to get away for a few days. We thought about going somewhere exotic..but the thought of wasting a day or two in the airport did not appeal to us..so we drove up to Napa. Our first stop was Santa Cruz. Ryan had never been and we found a nice little resort that could accommodate us for a few days. I was excited to go back to Santa Cruz, as I had been there a few times in High School and College. We had a great time exploring near by Monterey and visiting some great wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains ( Ryan found out that he really likes the Pinot Noirs that are made in this area) We visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium....got to see a baby sea otter and a bunch of penguins!

Is there really a problem with people flashing the octopus????

Santa Cruz Mountains.....soem good Pinot Noir!
We left Santa Cruz and headed north to Napa..with a stop in San Francisco to visit one my dearest friends and her fiance! It was so GREAT to see Kim and Jefferson. They lead the way to Napa and we ended up at Peju Winery....yummy yummy yummy. After some wine we went to dinner at BRIX...all I can say was AMAZING!!!! so good...great food, good friends and beautiful surroundings. We then said our goodbyes and headed to our Resort, The Meritage...we highly recommend it!

In Napa

Happy Ryan

Love Love Love....this area!

My dear friend Kim and her fiance Jefferson!!!!

Mmmmmmm...grapes

Now...you know this is a good wine if......

Excuse me....there is a Bee in my wine

More Pinot...Please

You cant tell from this picture ...but this bottle came up to about my waste!

Sad.....all gone
I found the BEST Reisling in the world....unfortunately it is not sold in stores..we have to order it online! If you ever have the chance and you like sweet wines like the Reisling......a stop at V. Sattui is in order! Oh my goodness the best wine I have had....I think I need a glass right now!

We had our fill of good wines and great food and beautiful surroundings and even found a town that we would move to in a heart beat! We love Yountville! We will move there someday!

Not even knowing where to begin

This past is so long overdue....it has been the busiest summer. I have been working for a company called Play Well TEKnologies, we teach engineering to kids ages 5 - 12 using LEGOS. This summer I was going from summer camp to summer camp...teaching teaching teaching! It was a blast...absolutely tiring.....but FUN!!!

Aside from the long hours of teaching I still had other things to do. Photo shoots, playing with the dog, spending time with the husband. Needless to say it has been super busy.

Ryan's work hasnt seemed to slow down..in fact it seems that it keeps getting busier and busier. We are thankful for his job in this economy and are not complaining...its just hard to have him come at 8pm at night and then go to bed at 10......makes for really long weeks. But still we are thankful.

We are a part of RockHarbor's Fullerton Campus...watching this dream become a reality has been really fun...we are looking forward to what is in store for the fall as we launch AM services with family ministries!!!! YEAH!!!! We are also looking forward to how God is going to use us!

No real new news about my mom...we have switched up her meds a bit. She is more responsive, but gets agitated rather quickly. With any luck she will continue doing well and we wont have to increase any of the meds. We are planning on participating in the Alzheimer's Memory walk in October. If we can raise money that will help find out more about this disease so that others that dont have to go through this than it is worth it! Check back in a few days for more details on how to help support the cause.

Other news...we finally got a small vacation in and went up north to Napa for a few days! It was wonderful and totally what we needed!
