Why limit happy to an hour

A few weeks back Ryan and I got to get away for a few days. We thought about going somewhere exotic..but the thought of wasting a day or two in the airport did not appeal to us..so we drove up to Napa. Our first stop was Santa Cruz. Ryan had never been and we found a nice little resort that could accommodate us for a few days. I was excited to go back to Santa Cruz, as I had been there a few times in High School and College. We had a great time exploring near by Monterey and visiting some great wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains ( Ryan found out that he really likes the Pinot Noirs that are made in this area) We visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium....got to see a baby sea otter and a bunch of penguins!

Santa Cruz Mountains.....soem good Pinot Noir!
We left Santa Cruz and headed north to Napa..with a stop in San Francisco to visit one my dearest friends and her fiance! It was so GREAT to see Kim and Jefferson. They lead the way to Napa and we ended up at Peju Winery....yummy yummy yummy. After some wine we went to dinner at BRIX...all I can say was AMAZING!!!! so good...great food, good friends and beautiful surroundings. We then said our goodbyes and headed to our Resort, The Meritage...we highly recommend it!

I found the BEST Reisling in the world....unfortunately it is not sold in stores..we have to order it online! If you ever have the chance and you like sweet wines like the Reisling......a stop at V. Sattui is in order! Oh my goodness the best wine I have had....I think I need a glass right now!

We had our fill of good wines and great food and beautiful surroundings and even found a town that we would move to in a heart beat! We love Yountville! We will move there someday!
