home from camp and other thoughts

Royal Family Kids Camp was AMAZING again this year!! The kids this year were great and so into the activities! The theme this year was " Super Hero Academy"...every child was allowed the opportunity to create their Super Hero Identity in the Super Hero Lab. Once done with these costumes they were given the chance to pose for a series of pictures that were then put into a comic book just for them! It was a great week....we had very few accidents and very few illnesses. I am looking forward to next year already and am looking for ways to be involved now!

The week at camp was HOT!!!!! Our cabins with no AC and needing to keep the doors closed at all times so we didnt get uninvited critters into the cabin made for long nights! Thank goodness for fans!!! Coming home I was looking forward to my nice air conditioned house, one of many comforts that I missed. Upon my return...the AC in our house decided to die!! As I write this I am waiting for the technician to get here and fix the beast...its been HOT! I realize it could be worse and that I shouldnt complain.....but I do NOT do well in the heat! One of the reasons I left Sacramento after graduating from college!

In other news...I went to go see my mom today. It is getting harder and harder for me to be there. I hate seeing her in the state that she is in and am always aksing God why he is waiting....what is he doing? When is he going to be merciful? I know that he has a plan...I just wish I new what it was! So in honor of my mom I signed up to take part in The Alzheimers Memory Walk. The walk isnt until October and it isnt quite as intense as the Breast Cancer 3 day walk...this one is only 3 miles....but any money that can be raised to help int he research of this aweful disease is worth it!

Not much else here....Bozley is getting bigger. The back yard will be complete by the end of August and we are leaving for Hawaii at the end of November......something for us to look forward to!

A few days ago one of my friends from college (CSU, Sacramento) came down for a visit with her two little ones..although I am pretty sure you cant call them little any more! I still cant get over the fact that Cassidy is 5 and is going into Kindergarten.....where did the time go? We had a good, but short visit...we will have to do this again soon!
