Promise of things to come...yummy!

I was out in the backyard today and saw these tiny little pomegranates growing....they should be mature and ready to eat in October!!! Yummy yummy!!!!

We recently bought a fire pit for our back yard....and had our family over for dinner...what a better to end the night, than with S'mores!

Mother nature unleashed!

When I last posted I mentioned that the clouds were getting darker....about 5 minutes after that post ...the clouds broke open it came down! Not just little rain drops...big rain drops and lots of them..then the HAIL..for about 20 minutes! I thought our house was going to flood..luckily it didnt!!!! Enjoy the photos!

Trinity Law School

Ryan got accepted to Trinity Law School!!! We have a huge decision to make..to go or not to go! There are benifits to going and there are also drawbacks to going! The drawbacks being that our time together will be shortened...but the benefits are wonderful...career advancement and such! I am also applying to CSU, Fullerton ..hoping to start in the spring. Working on a decond Bachelors in Photojournalism...Fun times in the Young Household!!!

busyness and thoughts...haven't written in a while!

It's been a very busy week around here..there is always so much to be done when owning a new home...it seems as though every time we turn around there is another project that needs our attention! Today I sorted through boxes in the garage..these boxes contained books and lots of them! Books that I have been holding onto for years now..thinking I will read them again some day...well not anymore! They went into a box for our upcoming garage sale! That's right we are having a garage sale!!! Nice way to make a little extra cash and sell or "treasure" to someone else! We have no idea when our garage sale will be..perhaps sometime in June!

I am off to Ikea today to buy another desk and bookshelf! We have so many books and we would like to have them out and available for resources....hence my trip to Ikea!

We took our friend Enoch out to dinner last night....Wood Ranch BBQ! The best Tri-tip west of Texas..I have never had tri tip in Texas but I would imagine that it is yummy! We had a great time with Enoch, rating the place and such! When we pulled up to the place, Ryan spotted a 7 series BMW that was for sale....something has to be wrong with it..they were only asking $23000....we are calling on it later! Then we would be the 2 BMW family! Fun times!

As I write the clouds are getting darker and darker..I think we might be in for quite a little storm! So exciting as they are predicting Thunder storms ...MY FAVORITE! Although the storms here dont compare to the storms that we had back at the lake growing up! Speaking of the lake and growing up...my long time childhood friend Amy got engaged this weekend!!! I amso excited for her and Andy! What fun!

No real news with mom...her Psychiatrist came to see her last week and he changed up the meds just a little..she is still calm and resting a lot. Keep praying for mercy! This is no way to spend your last days! Not recognizing anyone, not being able to do things for yourself...it is heartbreaking!!!

Okay..so for now I am done!

Dinner with the Malzahns

Last night we had Marvin and Karine Malzahn over for dinner to help them celebrate their one year anniversary...I cant believe it has been one year for them already. I first met Marvin on a missions trip to the Ukraine...he was the team photographer and all around good guy ( he was also the photographer at our wedding)! Karine, his wife is an amazing woman who is such a joy to be around. We are so blessed to be a part of their lives!

So the sad news is..no puppy just yet! We went back to see the puppies and both Ryan and I are allergic. Ryan more so than me...so our search continues. We are now considering hypo-allergenic dog breeds...poodles and those that are bred with poodles!!!! Will keep you all posted!

We may have met our match!!!!

Well...I just got back from meeting the cutest Golden Retriever Puppies and I think we have met our match....currently his name is Quincy..but that might change...Isnt he the CUTEST!!!????

We are in...and still settling!

The move is over and we are in the house. Things are starting to fall into place. This place is so much bigger than our tiny apartment its easy to forget where you put something..so then you spend more time trying locate said item! Oh well...its fun!

This neighborhood is so QUIET! Its peaceful as well! We are loving it here and cant wait to have friends and family over for dinners and get togethers. I will post pictures a little later this week.

Now we paint....

So we officially got the keys to the house last Thursday and began wokring on the house Friday....Cleaning was the first priority. Next came the painting..I think I can safely say that we are done for now. There is still one room that needs to be painted, but it can wait. We have also decided that when we are ready to paint the living room, dining room and hall way we are hiring professionals as my fragile camera hands cant handle all of this!!!! (yeah..I'm a sissy)

The big move happens this weekend!! We have been moving over stuff all week long..why go over empty handed? But the big heavy stuff is this weekend..It will be nice to have this completed!!! Oh to be fully in our home!!!! I will post pictures later!!!
