mom update....March 24, 2008

Its been almost a year since my mom has not been home. April 1st marks 1 year since she fell and was taken to the hospital only to get worse as time went on. As the disease (Alzheimers) progresses so does my sadness. This has been such a hard year for me..watching someone you love die very slowly (they call the stage my mom is in the LONG GOODBYE)
We are now looking into Hospice care for mom...she needs a wheelchair now as well. She is like a toddler learning to walk...very small steps...then there are the times that she forgets all together how to walk. She is spending more and more of her days sleeping and sitting in her chair in the living room. The caregivers tell me that she is very peaceful when I am there..which is true. She can be having a hard day, then I come in and sit with her and she calms immediately. Its hard for me, but if it helps her I want to be there for her.
Please continue to pray for Ryan and I and Art as well....this has been a hard year for us all.

22 days to go...

Its official...22 days left to go until we close escrow! There is now a SOLD sign in front of the house! The current owners have moved out and are on their way to their new house in Hawaii! Did we mention that we get built in trips to Hawaii...they have family out here and will be out twice a year...an excuse for us to trade houses!!!
At any rate..we are getting more and more excited about this...but are still holding on to it very "loosely" Realizing that this is not our house, but really it belongs to God!

Huggins.......IN ESCROW!!!!!

So in a previous post I mentioned something about a house that we made an offer on.....
Well..that offer was accepted and we are in Escrow.. We should close right around my birthday! This is such an exciting time for Ryan and I right now and are looking forward to all that the future holds for us!!! Here are a few pictures of our new dwelling!!!

FYI....these pictures were taken while the current owners are still living there. They are making some changes to the home that the city is making them do....new windows and such. So when we move in the house wont look like this..it will look like Ryan and Angie live there...sans toddler!

Other fun news in the land of photography...I was hired by the 91 Express lanes to take some updated pictures of the Toll Operations Center, Customer Service Center and the Lanes...it was a lot of fun and hard work at times...below are some images from the shoot! (by the way...because of this job I was able to buy a new camera.....A Canon 5D...I love it!!!!)
