a trip to denver to visit the rosdils

This past weekend Ryan and I took a short trip to Denver, Colorado to visit with my long time childhood friend Amy and her new husband, Andy. When we were packing on Thursday to head out there we thought we werent going to make it....the reason..they were having blizzards! Yes, Blizzards! There was a foot of fresh snow waiting for us to play in! It was beautiful when we landed and remained beautiful all weekend long! Cold, but beautiful!

the railing leading to the front door...this was gone by Saturday afternoon!
Outside the front door
Amy and Andy live across the street from this amazing park....what fun we had there!

Ryan was amazed at my snowball catching ability..he threw..I caught!

Lego...this is a snowball!
This is Lego...the Boston terrier puppy...she is the cutest!
Always wanting to play
Always willing to pose!
She is just like Amy...LOVES THE SUN!!!

The evolution of the front garden

When we first moved in to the house there was garden in front that I wasnt to wild about..but I let it go knowing that there were other things that were more important. As time went on my distaste for the garden grew..eventually I ended up ripping everything out and tilling the ground. I was ready to plant, but then we had week after week of rain and I could not get out there to do anything. Finally, this weekend that ended and I finished my project! There is still much more that I need to do, but for now it looks good....now onto the back yard..time to get my veggie garden ready!

Before...all of the weeds....need to get those out!

After....allt he pretty flowers are planted!!
