Birthday fun for Amy at the Happiest Place on Earth!

This past weekend my oldest and dearest friend came out to California to CELEBRATE her birthday! Is there a better place to CELEBRATE other than Disneyland??? I say not! Not only was it her birthday, but it was also her husbands FIRST visit to the happiest place on earth!

Memory Walk 2009

In honor of my mother I have signed up to walk in the 2009 OC Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk! The walk will be taking place Saturday, October 17 at CSU, Fullerton. While it isnt a long walk (only 3 miles) it will be a hard walk for me! Many of you know that my mom is in the late to terminal stages of this aweful disease. I am walking for her and the thousands of others out there with this disease. I am also walking to raise funds and awareness of the disease.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against this fatal disease. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $260 million for the cause. Memory Walk is a community event that joins friends, family and co-workers as they walk to end Alzheimer’s. Participants typically register in teams of 10-12 and fundraise using tools supported by the Alzheimer’s Association. Walks vary from one to three miles and are held in nearly 600 locations nationwide. Please join us in taking steps to end Alzheimer's. There has been a lot of work in the yard!

Our yard is coming along! Here is what has been happening..sorry no pics from last weekend..but it was really nothing!

3 weeks ago we rented the Bobcat to level and tear up the ground
2 weeks ago the sand, gravel and pavers were dropped off and we spent the day moving the gravel fromt he front to the back and moving the pavers from the driveway into the garage
This weekend....we rented a plate compactor and compacted the gravel...

Next steps....
Put the sand down and make it level
Put the Pavers in place
Compact the pavers
ENJOY ICE COLD BEVERAGE ON NEW PATIO!!!!!

Jake ... The Congressional Page

Recently our newphew was selected to be a Congressional Page in DC for the semester. He left this last Friday and will begin his work on Monday. He will working with congress and will get sworn in too! Not only will be he working, he is living in the page dormitory and will be attending classes in the Congressional Library! We are super proud of Jake! Have a great time, make lots of memories and dont forget that God has given you the gift to make a change!!! We love you!!! Aunt Angie and Uncle Ryan !
