Bees and Bozley
While this little creature gives us good things like Honey and pollinates our plants so we have veggies, fruit and flowers...they are a menace in our home! Bozley being the curious little guy that he is like to pick things up in his mouth...he has a strange love of worms, crickets, rocks, twigs and bees. There is a tree somewhere in our neighborhood that has a hive and it seems that the bees come to our patio to die a peaceful death. Everytime we go out , there are number of dead or dying bees on our patio. I do my best to get them all taken care before Bozley can get ahold of them.... much to our dismay he has gotten ahold of a few of them and has been stung about 3 times (you think he would learn) The first sting (October 13) was on his paw and it wasnt so bad...we removed the stinger and he went on his merry way....no harm no foul. The second (October 19) time however was not so uneventful. He picked the bee up in his mouth and it stung him in the gums. We could not find the stinger and didnt know it was still there...he became very weak and threw up. I called the emergency vet to find out what to do (I only called the E-Vet because our dog had to do this after hours...thus costing us more) TheE-Vet said to bring him he was going into shock. Our little boy is allergic to bees it seems and needed to get a shot of epinephrine to calm his little heart down, he also got a 50mg shot of Benadryl (thats enough to knock me out for 2 days) and a shot of steroids....oh he also had to have an IV of fluids! Not a fun night...waking up every hour to check on him. He got better over the next couple of days and was his normal puppy self. The third sting happened yesterday October 27, he again was in the backyard. I had killed all the bees but must have left a trace of one and he licked it up ...getting stung on his tongue (we do not have the brightest dog in the bunch) I rushed him to his vet...they took a look at him, removed the stinger, gave him two more shots and sent him on his way!So I now have a love/hate relationship with bees....They can come pollinate our plants..but please stay off of my patio and away from my dog....this is getting to be way to expensive! Oh well...the things we do for our furry little children!

The Continuing Adventures of....The Boz-man!
Bozley continues to grow and continues to do crazy puppy things that are just so cute! We found out that he may not be part Wheaten Terrier after all...they are thinking more along the lines of Yorkshire Terrier or Silky Terrier mixed with Shih Tzu...what ever he is...he is perfect or us and we love him!!!!!
Bozley likes to dig in the dirt then stick his nose in it...many times he will then come p and try to give you big dirty kisses! Silly puppy!

our new family member...BOZLEY
This is Bozley....Bozman...Bozell...but mainly Bozley! He is the newest addition to our family. The story is: Ryan and I were not looking for a dog. If you recall the last one we had to give away becuase of my allergies. We were working on the back yard..trying to rid it of grass an be more allergy and puppy friendly. Tuesday, we got a call from sister in law who owns the Magnolia Bird Farm with her dad. One of the girls that works for her had found this addorable little pup wandering around her apartment complex. He had no collar...so she picked him and up and put flyers up all around saying that she had found a lost puppy. She had no response..and still hadnt 3 days later. She wanted to keep the little guy, but knew that she couldnt. So she brought him to work to see if she could find a good home for him. The minute my sister in law and niece laid eyes onhim they knew that Ryan and I would want him. They told me over the phone...."he looks just like Max!" Let me tell you...he does...even not cuter! So Ryan and I took him home. I later took him to the vet to make sure that he didnt have a microchip....if he did I would want the original owners to have him back (although...I wondered...do I really want to? They did let him wonder off!) He had no microchip. They told me he was between 8-10 weeks old and a Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier! He is in good health, got his first set of shots yesterday along with some de-worming meds and flea meds! He is sucha good boy! He sleeps really well in his crate and does really good at night! 4-6 hours at a time!!! Nice for us! He is getting used to his new surroundings and is adjusting well! I am still adjusting to my allergies...but now that I know what to look for I can fight it before it gets out of hand! I keep thanking God that he decided that Bozley was meant for us!!!! I love him so much and its only been 3 days!!!!
